The Monster Mixer returns for a second year of Halloween celebrations, bringing an afternoon of card swapping, crafting, and free-to-enter contests with prize tiers up for grabs.
- Photocard trading: all groups are welcome
- Crafting: make something on site
- Costume contest: three winners chosen by voting
- Social media giveaway: one winner picked online
RSVP is optional but encouraged through Eventbrite using the RSVP link.
Anyone entering the costume contest must arrive dressed up and register before 2:50 PM. The contest runs from 3:00 PM to approximately 3:30 PM. Entrants must remain on site through the presentations and voting announcements to validate their entry, and winners must collect their prizes in person before store closing at 7:00 PM.
Costumes have no set theme, though K-pop inspired outfits are encouraged.
To enter the social media giveaway, share an in-feed post of yourself at the event and tag @kpn_oakland or add them as a collaborator. Your face does not need to appear in the picture. The entry window closes on Tuesday, October 27. The winner will be contacted via Instagram direct message on Thursday, October 29, so ensure your message requests are set to receive messages from everyone. If the prize remains unclaimed by Saturday, October 31, a replacement winner will be drawn. Prizes must be picked up in person within one week of the winner announcement, as no shipping is provided.
