Last updated:October 2026. This page describes how Kpop Tracker ("we", "us") handles information when you use kpoptracker.net (the "Site"). This is general information, not legal advice. If you need certainty for your situation, speak with a qualified professional.

Who we are

What we collect

We focus on usage information to understand how the Site is used and to improve it. Depending on your browser and settings, this can include:

  • Pages and features you use, and interactions such as clicks and searches
  • Approximate technical data such as device type, browser, and general network information
  • Diagnostics and performance signals collected by our analytics tools

If you sign in, we keep your name and email address from your sign-in, and what you submit when you take part in an event, such as a registration, a raffle entry or an application.

We do not collect or store your precise or approximate location on our own systems. Any default region or market selection in your browser is handled locally for your experience and is not saved by us as a location record.

Analytics (Google Analytics and PostHog)

We use third-party analytics services:

If you are signed in to an account and have accepted analytics, we send PostHog your account identifier so that your activity is grouped under your account rather than counted separately for each browser or device. We do not send your email address or name. If you are not signed in, or you reject analytics, your activity is not linked to an account. Signing out, or withdrawing analytics consent, removes the link for activity that follows.

These tools may use cookies or similar technologies and send event data to their servers (which may be in the United States or other regions). You can often limit cookies through your browser settings.

Cookie choices

Where we are required to ask first (for example when we detect you may be in the United Kingdom or the European Union), we show a banner so you can accept or reject analytics cookies before we load Google Analytics and PostHog. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. When you see it, you can reopen the banner from "Cookie settings" in the site footer.

Payments (Stripe)

If you make a payment on the Site, payment details are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; Stripe handles payment data under its own terms. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Sharing with event hosts

When you take part in an event through Kpop Tracker, for example by registering, buying a ticket or applying to be a vendor, we share the details you give for it with that event's hosts. That includes your name and email address, and anything you provide in your submission, such as answers to the host's questions or your application.

We share them so hosts can run their event and contact you about it. For example, they may use them to check you in, to tell you about changes or cancellations, or to follow up on your application. Each host is responsible for how they use your details, and may not use them for anything unrelated to the event, such as marketing, unless you agree to it.

We tell you when this happens in the flow itself. Features that don't involve the host contacting you, like song requests, don't share your contact details.

Newsletter and third-party links

If you sign up for our newsletter, your email is submitted to the newsletter provider we use for that list. Their handling of your data is governed by their terms and privacy policy.

The Site may link to third-party sites or forms (for example, contact or survey tools). Those services have their own policies; we are not responsible for their practices.

Retention

Analytics and log retention depend on the settings and policies of Google Analytics, PostHog, and our hosting providers. We aim to keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the Site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

International transfers

Data processed by analytics and infrastructure providers may be transferred to and stored in countries outside your own, including the United States. Those providers may use standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms as required by applicable law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights that apply to data we control, contact us at hello@kpoptracker.net. For data held only by third parties (such as Google or PostHog), you may also use the choices and tools they offer.

Children

Kpop Tracker is a general-audience events discovery site. Fans of all ages may browse with a parent or guardian when planning to attend events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, or if you have a concern about children's data, please contact us at hello@kpoptracker.net and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and adjust the "Last updated" date when we do.
