Supporting a Worthy Cause
Inspired by the Watermelon Medley fundraiser event by @nenekamii, this community gathering was organized to support a family enduring the genocide in Gaza. The fundraiser specifically aims to help Rima, a two-year-old girl, and her father, who have been displaced by the conflict and are facing hunger and displacement. All funds raised are dedicated to helping the family stay safe and healthy while giving Rima a chance at a normal childhood.
Mixed Random Play Dance
This event features a "Mixed RPD," welcoming fans of various music styles to the dance floor. The playlist will include a diverse selection of K-Pop, J-Pop, Vocaloid, and other tracks. To ensure your favorite songs are included, requests are being accepted through the form found in the @deco_phonic Instagram bio.
Raffle and Prizes
A raffle will be held during the event to further support the fundraising efforts. Raffle tickets are available for £2 each, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the family. Participants have the chance to win the following prizes:
- An Animecon Birmingham Weekend Ticket
- Two £10 HMV Vouchers
How to Donate and Participate
Donations will be accepted on the day of the event via cash or card, though PayPal is the preferred method. For those who wish to contribute directly to the family, donations can be made through their personal PayPal or via their website at helprima.com.
While dancing is the main attraction, attendees are also encouraged to come in cosplay to add to the festive atmosphere, though it is not mandatory.
