How did THIS & THAT perform in the United States?

THIS & THAT debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated August 22, 2026. It is Stray Kids’ ninth consecutive No. 1 album and extends their record as the first act whose first nine Billboard 200 entries all debuted in the top position.

The album earned 369,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the week ending August 13, according to Billboard and Luminate. That total included:

  • 357,000 traditional album sales
  • 11,000 streaming-equivalent album units
  • 1,000 track-equivalent album units

It was the group’s biggest US week to date. With nine Billboard 200 No. 1 albums, Stray Kids also drew level with The Rolling Stones for the second-most chart-topping albums among groups. Only The Beatles have more.

The release also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, with 357,000 copies sold during the tracking week. That was the second-largest sales week for an album in the US in 2026, behind BTS’ ARIRANG. When streaming and track-equivalent units are included, the album’s 369,000-unit opening was the sixth-biggest overall album week of 2026 at the time of its debut.

The streaming portion accounted for approximately 12.21 million official on-demand streams of the album’s songs. The opening was therefore driven primarily by album purchases, supported by multiple CD, vinyl and digital configurations available during release week.

“RUN IT,” released ahead of the album on June 24, also reached No. 9 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart after selling 2,000 downloads in its first tracking period. It became Stray Kids’ eighth entry on that chart and their sixth top-ten placement.

THIS & THAT full tracklist

  1. RUN IT
  2. This & That
  3. After You
  4. FARMING
  5. I Do
  6. Way Out
  7. Back Then
  8. This & That (Festival Version)

The album moves between the confidence of “RUN IT,” the more relaxed energy of the title track and softer moments such as “After You,” “Way Out” and “Back Then.” As usual, the group’s producing unit 3RACHA, made up of Bang Chan, Changbin and HAN, played a central role in the album’s creation.

The final track gives “This & That” a festival-ready alternative version, making it more than a simple repeat of the title track.

What are the “This Version” and “That Version”?

After the main album release, Stray Kids expanded the title track into two contrasting sides.

“This Version”

The “This Version” lyric visualizer was released on August 10, alongside the This Remixes digital release.

“That Version”

The “That Version” lyric visualizer followed on August 12 with the separate That Remixes release.

Together, the two releases turn the album’s central “this or that” idea into more than a title. Fans can move between different treatments of the same song rather than being given one standard remix package.
