POP-UP EVENT

Spring Day Picnic

Event Concept and Mission

Inspired by the song "Spring Day," this gathering is designed to turn music into real-life connections, providing a space for the community to gather, share, and feel at home. Past the edge of the cold winter, until the flowers bloom again, this event offers a warm and welcoming environment. It is a judgment-free safe space where you can connect and laugh, whether you are attending solo, with friends, or with your entire family.

Potluck and Dining

This is a sharing-style event centered around a community potluck. The organizers will provide a main dish for all attendees who have reserved a spot. Participants are encouraged to bring a small snack, side dish, or dessert to share at the potluck table. Recommended ideas include cookies, wafers, or fruit, and items can be either homemade or store-bought. There is no pressure to feed everyone; bringing something small is perfectly fine. Even if you are unable to bring a dish, you are still warmly invited to join the fun and eat with the group.

Activities and Entertainment

The afternoon will be filled with interactive moments and entertainment designed to help you meet new friends. You can expect:

  • A "Spring Day" inspired playlist featuring soft, nostalgic, and fun vibes.
  • Interactive mini-games and activities held throughout the day.
  • A potential mini-karaoke session.
  • Special freebies for participants.

Venue Features

The reserved location includes two pavilions equipped with a total of 18 tables and a grill. On-site restrooms are available for convenience. While the pavilions provide fixed seating, the area also offers various recreational features, including a shaded playground, bike and hiking trails, a nature area, disc golf, and a Korean War memorial.

Picnic Essentials and Preparation

To stay comfortable throughout the day, especially in the Texas heat, attendees are encouraged to bring the following essentials:

  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection.
  • A picnic blanket or portable chairs if you prefer to move around outside the pavilion.
  • Your ARMY lightstick.
  • Outfits inspired by your bias.

Reservations and Fees

There is a $7 supply fee per person, which includes the main dish and helps the organizers prepare the event setup. Reservations are required to ensure enough food and supplies are available for everyone. Attendees should use the registration links to RSVP and are also encouraged to use the potluck sign-up form to let the organizers know what food items they plan to contribute. Recommendations for the main dish are also welcome in the lead-up to the event.
